Infectious Disease and Vaccine Development

The Infectious Disease and Vaccine Development Interest group (IDVD) aims to promote information exchange and interactions among scientists interested in the field of infectious disease and vaccine development, broadly defined. This group will facilitate learning and discussion of four major topics including: vaccine research and development, microbial pathogenesis, host-pathogen interaction, immune response to infection and the role of microbiome in health and disease. The group will host seminars and journal clubs and will also facilitate networking and collaboration by inviting guest speakers and organizing an annual retreat.
